An intimately hosted fundraising event, Elements of Style has been a tradition with the Orchestra of the Southern Finger Lakes. Typically held in a private home, the event always offers good food & drink, and excellent company, including our Maestro Toshi Shimada. Often there is music, and sometimes even an auction of fine art or one-of-a-kind experiences. It is a special opportunity for a great evening that supports the OSFL.
The 2015 Elements of Style will take place on Saturday, September 12, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM.
It will be held at the home of OSFL Board Member Elise Johnson-Schmidt, at 10290 Whispering Wind Trail, Corning, New York. The view, left, is from her home.
Participation at this year's Elements of Style is limited to 75 persons. Everyone attending will be entered in a drawing to win a blown glass dragon stem tazza in the façon Venise made by glass Maestro William Gudenrath.
The food will be provided by Sweet & Saucy catering, and the wine will be curated by Bottles and Corks.
Music will be performed by members of the Orchestra.
The tickets are $75 a person, and $45 of that amount is tax deductible. Please RSVP by September 1.
Your participation and generous support and are always appreciated, and help the OSFL to continue its mission of great performances and music education.
